Safari Highlights:

Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and from there drive to Arusha. Overnight at Point Zone Hotel.

Day 2: Tarangire

We drive to Tarangire National Park surrounded by ancient baobab trees, elephants, elusive leopard, over 400 bird species can be spotted here as well. With water constantly available in the area, the greenery is lush providing a wonderful contrast to the burnt ground. Dinner and overnight at Whistling Thorn Camp.

Day 3: Drive in Tarangire National Park and overnight at Whistling Thorn Camp.

Day 5: Lake Manyara
We drive to Lake Manyara for lunch at Burudika Tented Lodge.

 

Day 6: Lake Manyara
Full day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park which is one of the oldest and most popular sanctuaries in East Africa, It is home to a myriad of bird life and the famous tree-climbing lions. Common animals include baboons, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, elephant, hippos, with over 400 species of birds including water birds and the colorful migratory flamingoes.

 

Day 7: Lake Manyara

Full day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 8: Lake Eyas
After breakfast, drive to Lake Eyas for lunch at Lake Eyas Safari Lodge. Afternoon local activities with Datoga local people. Dinner and overnight at Lake Eyas Safari Lodge.

 

Day 9: Lake Eyas
Enjoy the hunting with Hadzabe local people then sundown tour at Lake Eyas.

Day 10: Ndutu Area
After breakfast, drive to Ndutu Area for lunch at Serengeti Halisi Camp – Ndutu.

Day 11: Ndutu Area
Safari in Swahili simply means a “journey”. Nowadays it has become a synonym for wildlife viewing in the African bush. We explore the endless plains to discover the vast expanse and wilderness of southern Serengeti. Indulge, take your time and relish each moment spotting wildlife, we search for the most wonderful natural phenomenon, the Grand Migration of thousands and thousands of wildebeest and zebra crossing the plains in search of water and food. Enjoy and cherish morning and afternoon game drives through the Park.

 

Day 12: Ndutu Area

Day 16: Ngorongoro
We drive towards Ngorongoro Crater with packed lunch. The Crater is one of the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, offering fabulous game viewing and is one of the only such places in Africa. Large grazing animals such as wildebeest, buffalo, gazelle and zebra that depend on the open grasslands are in the crater, attracting predators, the black- maned lion, the leopard and hyena. The elephant found are the lone males. A soda lake attracts water birds, including flamingos and is a suitable place for predators to make their kill. Wildly beautiful as it is, it is not surprising that Ngorongoro Crater has been called a Garden of Eden.

 

Day 17: Karatu
After breakfast, drive to for Endoro waterfalls and elephant caves, lunch at Eileen’s trees Inn
Afternoon relaxing and swimming at your lodge.

 

Day 18 & Day 19: Arusha National Park
We drive to Arusha National Park with terrain ranging from open savannah through acacia scrublands to Afro-montane cloud and rain forest and Afro-alpine vegetation similar to Mount Kilimanjaro. There are several alkaline lakes and the spectacular Ngurdoto Crater. Mammal species include elephant, buffalo, various primates, giraffe and leopard. In the morning enjoy walking tour in the park accompanied by armed ranger. Dinner and overnight at Point Zone Hotel.

 

Day 20: Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport  (JRO) to connect onward.
